Wy's first trip

Wyatt was an angel on his first vacation! He slept great, ate great, and got extra snuggle time.

Uncle Shu got his first lesson on changing baby boys! He is getting prepared for his own.

The house had a HUGE sink! It was the perfect bath tub for my little man.

He slept through the entire tea party.

Poor guy was still suffering from thrush... after 8 days of treating him with the prescription with no relief, I decided to go the herbal route. After 3 doses of this stuff, he was cured! Blue mouth!

Getting some love from his cousins! He is the most cherished little cousin of the clan at this point. it is so sweet to watch the kids woo over him...even the boys!!

One month

My sweet little man is already one month old... Where have these 4 weeks gone? Oh yea...breastfeeding, changing diapers, reading books and building towers.. The boy weighed in at 7-13 this week and 22 inches long. it reminds me of his sister who started out so tiny, gaining slowly at first, but then picked up in a BIG way and soon was chubby as ever! That is why I am a huge on demand feeder... I am open 24/7, and whenever he is hungry, I let him eat. Poor Wyatt has been through so much already, including an ear infection and thrush... So I decided to hold off on vaccines for at least 2 more weeks. I don't want him to go through anything else that is not absolutely necessary. Boy, he is the sweetest thing :)

No more broccoli for momma

I am so thankful for this daddy. He is the best husband/father in the world. Not only does he clean, do laundry, entertain and take care of Claire, but he is up helping mommy with a gassy boy last night. He picks up where I leave off without asking. I'm so thankful.

Poor baby

My little man was not himself the last 24 hours... I had noticed some white patches in his mouth, as well as pain when feeding, and had a sinking suspicion that we had thrush. When he was up every 30 minutes crying last night(and he usually sleeps a good 5 hours straight!) I knew something was up. So I called the doc and took him in. Come to find out, he has a terrible ear infection! Doc said he has teeny tiny nasal passage ways that are stuffed up and block easily, causing a build up of fluid in his ear canal. She said she has never seen a 3 week old who is breastfed with an ear infection, and this must be pure anatomy related. ::sigh::
Well... I wanted a little one who looked like me, and I got him... But I didn't want all of my health baggage for him! I hope he doesn't live a life full of ear infections and tubes as I did, maybe I had small nasal passage ways as well.
Either way, all he wants to do right now is nurse and cuddle, and I shall oblige. Sorry house work, my baby needs me!

Sleep...thanks bud

We have been really lucky so far with this buddy... We are actually getting sleep this go around and boy does it feel good. At about a week old Wyatt started cluster feeding in the evening, we start the feeding frenzy around 5 and he will nurse for close to 3 hours straight... No I'm not kidding. Sometimes he will fall asleep for 15-20 minutes in between but then picks back up and eats...and eats and eats. He gets his fill because when we go to bed around 10, he sleeps for 4-5 hours! After that long stretch he usually will sleep 3 hours from then on. I will sit and nurse every night if I can get that kind of sleep! We feel like a million bucks. Thanks buddy.
